Finnish Transport Agency
Since 1 January 2010, the Finnish Maritime Administration has merged into the Finnish Transport Agency. The new Work package leader of WP6 Dynamic Risk Management is thus Finnish Transport Agency.  
The Finnish Transport Agency, FTA, is the national body in charge of maintaining and developing the tranport system, whereas at sea, on rail or the roads. 
 
In EfficienSea Finnish Transport Agency is in charge of WP6 Dynamic Risk Management and participates in all the other work packages: work packages 3 Competences and Recruitment, 4 e-Navigation and 5 Vessel traffic data and maritime planning.
 
 
Finnish transport reform
The Finnish Transport Agency was formed on 1 January 2010 as the waterways functions of the Finnish Maritime Administration, the Finnish Rail Administration and the central administration of the Finnish Road Administration merged.
 
The Finnish Transport Agency is a government agency operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and it is responsible for the maintenance and development of the transport system overseen by the government.
